Welcome to Feminists in Fashion!
Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:30AM Feminists In Fashion is a project born out of a desire to create a global archive of feminist women leaders whose change-making efforts are contributing to the world in extraordinary ways, and who dispel the myth that feminist women cannot look and feel fabulous while doing the vital work that they do!
These women, diverse in age, nationalities, professions, and accomplishments, share two undefiable threads of commonality: each is effectively bettering the lives of women and girls and each possesses a flare for fashion and an inspired sense of personal style.
Through an ever-expanding compilation of interviews, anecdotes, and photography, Feminists In Fashion focuses in on the work of global women leaders and the culture of couture, making public fashion’s best-kept secret: the vibrant, smart, outspoken, stylish feminist!

In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of International Women's Day, we are looking for 100 change-making, fashion-loving women who are doing BIG things in their communities for themselves and for other women. Whether your work is in education, fashion and design, law, medicine and health, policy and research, politics, science, visual and performance art, frontline outreach work, or you are an up-and-coming young feminist leader, we want to hear from you.
Tell us about the impacts of your work, what future contributions you would like to make, and what inspires you!
Or, if you know of a woman (or women!) who you think should be featured in this book, nominate her by completing the application form.
Please note that this application has been designed to help us understand you and your work in greater detail. It is an opportunity for you to showcase not only you, as an individual, but also your work as a leader, with an international audience of readers and stakeholders.
